When funding is granted, applicants are expected to provide some information about the programme in which they have participated.     

Below are just a few links to some of the projects which have received EIL sponsorship in the past.  


Volunteer in Goa: Baljit spent a month working with elderly ladies in Goa, India. In order to undertake this volunteering Baljit was awarded funding from the TEIL Sponsorshop fund.In April and May 2011 Baljit was given funding from the TEIL fund to volunteer in Goa, India. She volunteered in a home for elderly women, helping and supporting the women to take responsibility for their daily activities and enjoyment.

Joe Catterall, from Hereford, received sponsorship from EIL towards the cost of a year in Costa Rica attending the United World College.

Joe will be undertaking academic studies as well as working in the local community teaching English to children, helping to rebuild villages following recent earthquakes and working with local farmers on sustainable and environmentally friendly projects. He will also be undertaking a project week in either Panama or Nicaraqua.

EIL, in conjunction with Mouth That Roars and Tower Hamlets Youth Opportunities Fund, sponsored a group of young people from Tower Hamlets to spend two weeks in the Moroccan village of AIt Iktel in the Atlas Mountians. The group worked with children from the village to make a film about their everyday lives.

Mouth That Roars is an independent youth media organisation set up with the sMouth That Roars logoole purpose of training young people in TV/video production, who would not ordinarily have access to media resources. Our Everyday Lives is an international media project run by Mouth That Roars. It supports children and young people in North Africa and the Middle East to produce media that explores their lives and the issues that surround them. 

 


 In conjunction with HANDS, EIL sponsored Russell and Lucy Dudley to travel to Thailand to volunteer in a project working with displaced, vulnerable and disadvantaged people.

HANDS is a Christian organisation dedicated to serving the poor and disadvantaged by helping people to bring change to their ives and communities; providing training and support to facilitate exponential growth and enocuraging sustainable developement and lasting benefits.

 


Laura Clayson, volunteering with 'Project Trust' received sponsorship from EIL to support her trip to Thailand.
