We urgently need to fill 7 placements on an environmental project at Debrecen University Botanical Gardens. This opportunity is for anyone who is unemployed and not studying and is fully funded through the Leonardo da Vinci programme. Conservation enthusiasts needed now for free overseas project in Hungary!

EIL is urgently seeking young people aged 18 - 30 for a 2 week work placement in Hungary this June at Debrecen University Botanic Gardens and surrounding National Park. The work includes habitat conservation, propagating and re-establishing rare plant species, and monitoring bird boxes. Cultural visits are also included. This trip is just one of the Leonardo da Vinci placements that EIL has to offer young people looking to combine foreign travel with work experience. Flights, accommodation, food, pocket money and an excellent support structure are all paid for. There is no need to speak the language as all placements have English speaking staff and language training is included. One of the guest cabins at La Ventanilla ecotourism project in Oaxaca. The project is one of the Volunteer Abroad programmes, and was originally set up to stop the killing of turtles, but  has now grown into a sustainable alternative source of income for local people.

A volunteer at the Nga Uruora - Kapiti Project Charitable Trust in New Zealand. This is a conservation project established to halt the decline in coastal deforestation, and to create a bird-safe area of native forest. The project is based around Waikanae, north of Wellington on North Island.
