EIL UK is hosting an EVS (European Voluntary Service) Short Term Creative Arts Project from 8th – 28th July 2010 in Gloucester.
The aim of the project is to give disadvantaged young people the opportunity to build up their basic / social / life skills in an informal way through a short volunteering experience. It also enables the participants to learn about life in another culture.
Volunteer 20 hours each week in exchange for free room and board in Mexico! Weekends are normally free to experience the culture by traveling around Mexico.
Spend 15 hours a week helping a family with conversational English. Many families want to learn English and in exchange are willing to provide room and board.
Host families provide meals, accommodation and friendship. They will introduce you to their community and help you learn about their country, their culture, their language, and their local customs.
Our partner, The Thaqafat Association, is a Cross Cultural Moroccan Association and a non-profit organisation. Their objective is to promote Moroccan culture by actively seeking volunteers from around the world to take part in their range of projects in the country.
