"We want to start by thanking EIL for their generous contribution to our stay in Thailand. We are 21 and 22 years of age, we tied the knott last August and are now volunteer workers helping a Christian charity called HANDS (Health and Nutritional Development Services) for fifteen months.

The charity works with displaced, vulnerable and disadvantaged people in Thailand. They mainly work with hill tribe people, such as the Akha and Shan tribes.

Our passion over here is relationships – We love spending time with Thai people as they are caring, joyful and giving and they always challenge us to be better people. We feel really privileged to be working with HANDS for the following year and thank EIL again for supporting us whilst we are in Thailand."

Russell and Lucy Dobson from Malvern received sponsorship money from EIL from The Elphick Travel Award to support help to support their volunteering in Thailand.
