Italy

veniceCertainly well-known for pasta, pizza and its colourful inhabitants, Italy has also much more to offer. Home country to many famous artists and musicians, it is a land full of art, history and magical scenery.

Italian people are welcoming and very keen on values such as friendship and family.

Italian tuition is set to quite a high standard and can offer a good insight into Italian culture and education.

Visiting Italy and studying there can be a great opportunity for you to experience a different and interesting way of life, while learning a new language.

Overview

We offer a home stay usually starting from September with simultaneous high school attendance (a certificate of attendance will be issued) from a minimum of 1 month to 9 months maximum. It is possible to start the programme at any time during the school year as long as your application reaches this office 3 months before arrival date (deadline for September: 30th April).

Schools

Public schools are non religious, whereas private schools are very often Catholic. No uniforms are worn in Italy. Schools can have an emphasis on languages, scientific studies, classical studies (including Latin and Greek) or technical skills. Students are usually placed in the school year on the basis of their most recent school report but often attend some classes in other years depending on their Italian skills.

Host Families

Host families are carefully selected by our network of local coordinators all over Italy, excluding big towns like Rome, Milan, Venice and Florence.
