Ecuador Summer Camp
This Summer Camp in Ecuador is a bit of a variation on the normal Conversation Partner programmes. Volunteers will still spend time teaching young people conversational English, but they will also get the opportunity to participate and work with the campers in activities including: hiking, biking, horse back riding, dancing, arts and crafts, and more.
Included in this camp programme is a weekend tour to the Cloudforest or Cotopaxi National Park (exact tour is dependent on the schedule). You will also have the opportunity to visit museums, cable car rides, and other local entertainment attractions organised by the camp. Once a week the camp travels in other areas of the city.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Share your language with the the campers.
- Assist the local camp counsellors with the daily activities.
- Using the Bag of Tricks, provide creative, fun and informative language sessions.
- Be on time for camp.
- Manage your own personal expenses (telephone bills, clothing, entertainment and spending money).
