She also brings into the role a great deal of personal experiences gained during her long-term volunteering project in Skopje (Republic of North Macedonia), work placement in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) and a number of short-term activities conducted in over 20 different countries worldwide.
Margaret Matthews – Support Volunteer
Margaret has supported EIL since the 1980’s in a variety of roles. At present, Margaret volunteers to help our Records Officer and Programme Managers with a variety of data entry and administrative tasks. Margaret’s experience of intercultural education includes a Homestay in Ecuador.
Our post-Covid recovery is under-way and we are recruiting to fill vacancies and new posts. At present we are recruiting the following roles:
Records Officer (part time and flexible hours)
This post will suit a highly organised person who enjoys a varied role at the heart of an organisation. This is an interesting and varied role that involves accurate record keeping for the charity alongside developing the charity’s fascinating archive of activities that stretches back more than 80 years.

We are looking to recruit more hosts across the UK, especially in Worcestershire and Cardiff. For an informal chat to find out more about hosting with EIL, email Calvin at host@eiluk.org or telephone the EIL office on 01684 562577.
